If there are any electricians out there...they need some help!!! This is what it looks like all over the city.
Drive up to this beautiful setting
See the fisherman bringing in the FRESH seafood
Authentic musicians in one of the hotels, the instruments were so intricat and beautiful
Our friend that took me around wanted to make sure that I saw the Christian church

The traffic is something that you can hardly explain it is so unreal, to every car there are thousands and thousands of scooters. And they honk NON-STOP!! They don't honk like we honk to be rude or because we are ticked off, they just honk because they have a horn for any reason under the sun it is hilariouse and never ends.
This was my first day I couldn't stop laughing I was so amazed
You will never believe the things I saw on the back of scooters...yes that is a generator, I also saw LARGE flat screen TV's and as you can see 2 pictures down at least 11 cases of water/pop/beer :)
Family of 3, and I did see a family of 4

These little stools are are all they use everywhere, if they don't have stools they squat...my knees whould have to do some MAJOR reconditioning :)
A little shopping stall, it ws about 5' wide, there are thousands of these everywhere.
BEAUTIFUL sunsets :)
Darling family at Vinpearl, a dad and 3 kids.
One of the wonderful people tha tworks with Eric...she rocks!!
Enter restaurant and choose your meal...we are talking fresh
They bring a hotplate and FRESH SHRIMP(it flopped out all over the table when I opened this) to cook at your table. This was the best shrimp I think I have ever eaten, but I guess I ate it wrong...I forgot to suck the brains and guts out, I am so wasteful!
Second course of fish, which was amazing. The lady in the background snagged the head first thing when it was done cooking...she ate and sucked every single piece of that fish head, brains, eyeballs and all. Grand total for our dinner for 7 was about $20!!
This was the table behind, EVERYTHING goes on the floor, soda cans, bones, shells, napkins, all garbage, kind of "different"
This is a NICE bathroom at the above restaurant. Notice the tile floors. ( So funny thing, this "toilet" is flat to the ground, you basically, for me, TRY and squat, we were with 3-4 women who were in suits with skirts and nylons...I am having a hard time trying to picture this....one of those things that makes you go hmmm?!?!?
the flushing system
AND the awesome washing units (notice that the water is running into the river from underneath, glad I couldn't see under the toilets :))
We went to this funky "Amusement park" called Vinpearl. You can only get to it on a tram over the harbor, we were a little surprised to have to pay $35 for the tram ride because everything in VN is SOO cheap. We wanted to see it so we did it any way, we got there and realized that it was $35 for the WHOLE island! They had a cheesy amusement park, water slides, a really cool aquarium, the most amazing beach, the best shopping and there was NOBODY there, I mean NOBODY till after 4pm, about when we left. It was so fun, I wish the kids had been there :)

Really cool aquarium
Their cheesy decor was hilarious

The place was so clean and had the most beautiful flowers.

The most beautiful beach we were on the whole trip, I could have lived there...as you can see it was jam packed, I think we saw a total of 7 people the whole afternoon.

So very funny thing about the beaches in VN...during the day this is what they look like, we are talking about water that is about 75 degrees, the temp outside is 90 and beautiful white sand. They HATE the sun!!! The only people at this beach was us and for a little while some Aussies.

As soon as the sun goes down all the natives come out, it is so funny because they come out in droves, I didn't see ANY females in swimsuits, the only women I saw were young school age girls and they wore their clothes.

This is a Hearst, all the people around come to funerals because it is good luck...
so if your driving by, come on over, get a little luck :)
Does this look like paradise or what??

Rice patties...everywhere!
And if you ever wondered how they dried their rice...by the side of the road in the sun, how else!
Yes these are homes...

There are probably 5 million of these little stores!
This is some NICE housing in Hanoi
Rural residential "rich" 4-plex
