We could just sail away and spend the day...

If you live in Utah I am sure you have heard the song, it is so enticing that it just makes you want to run up to LAGOON, so we did. (PS the artist that sings the song can be found at sonnetmusic.com, I love her!)We had a wonderful day at Lagoon a few weeks ago! Mandi, Kevin and Jack were able to go with us because Kevin had taken the week off work and they did a "stay cation" so we got to play with them a few days. It was so much fun for the kids and us to spend the time with them. I wish so bad that I could find the picture I have of Amanda and I on this very same carousel at Lagoon. She was about the same age and had about the same look on her face. It was fun to take him on his first ride, he LOVED it!
His other favorite thing to do is just sit and watch the kids on the rides, the kid is soooo good, I just can't tell you how easy he is. He was sick on our day out and didn't make a cry or whimper the whole day, no nap, happy as a clam, I love this kid!
Annie and Daniel started off with the EASY rides, Annie is very cautious and this is about her excitement level. This ride is pushing it for her, it goes a little too high for herThe carousel is same enough.Daniel loved this one, Annie didn't want anything to do with it.Another safe one. Daniel also did roller coasters, the pirate ship, and the new Jumping Dragon that Jacob took him on, he thought it was amazing, no one else wanted to go on it with him though it is one of those spinney things. The older kids went on all the big rides, I got to go on as many of them as I could hack and some that finished me off, Eric seemed quite content to just stay with the kids and NOT go on any rides. So I think the thing that everyone got the biggest kick out of was Jack at the end of the day in the water fountain, it was hilarious!! You could not get him out of the water. How many adults does it take to put on a 1 year old shoes? Three if it is Jack and he doesn't want to get out of the water!A couple of times when he was trying to catch the water it went right up his pants and once right in his face...made him smile even bigger.Daniel wasn't so sure about this whole getting soaked in your clothes thing... Dad showed him the way though...
And he caught on REALLY fast...loved it too Two video clips of the day, sorry the Carousel is sideways I was holding the camera myself and couldn't see the screen. You can hear Jack humming in the background, it was so cute.

WE had a wonderful day and were so happy that Mandi, Kevin and Jack could go too. We missed Jessi and Alissa...dumb work!

Bear Lake day.

There is a wonderful group of YOUNG couples in our ward that go on a big camping trip to Bear Lake every year and they invited us to go along, even though we are OLD we have kids their kids ages. So because of scheduling Abbie went up with her friend early and we went up the last day/night. Now we remember why we don't camp... NOT that we didn't have a good time, they are wonderful fun families but the trip went as usual for us.
1.Mom packs up for 2 days ahead, trying to remember everything to bring
2. We get away about 3 hours later than we planned on, not arriving till about 3 in the afternoon, when you only have about a day there this is not a good thing.
3. Annie was in pain the whole way there, poor thing, can't drive 3 hours.
4. Daniel got a horrible fever when we were almost there, later to be diagnosed with strep.
5. Can we say one VERY long night for mom and dad.
6. BUT, Memories were made and all had lots of fun. Too short for all the work, and I really like the old motor home days better.

Annie and Dad headed out to play. Daniel just loved the SAND!!!
They built a MONSTER sand castle, don't know why I didn't get a picture of it done. The Kayak was pretty cool to both of them

Annie and the kids hanging out by the fire.
FIRE is SOOO cool!!!
Annie and Daniel thought the whole sleeping bag thing was pretty cool, till about 4 in the morning that is :)
Abbie and Kaysha babysitting while mom and dad pack up camp.
Gage (one Of Sam's GOOD friends) babysat too, he had quite the entourage.

We definitely need to find a closer lake to go to, it was a really fun trip!

Mike comes to visit!!

Yes, I know that my brother didn't come to visit me but it was so awesome to get to spend some time with Mike, Chris, Jared and even Roxy and Rico.
Chris, mom and Roxy, she is such a mamma's girl, never see her far from Chris or Mike.Rico is just a puppy and likes to drive Roxy insane.
Jared, Daniel, and Annie, Jared was sooo good to play with them, they thought he was AWESOME!
Thanks for coming Mike, it was so good to spend some time with your family and finally get to know Chris better, I only get to see her at family reunions and that is always CRAZY TIME!!

Just a few more from Washington

We had a great day at the Seattle center while in WA, it is one of our favorite things to do, we spent MANY days down there in our homeschooling years, and have fond memories of it. The older kids favorite thing now is the Experience Music Project, they love it and had a blast with their own band and making their own Sesame show.

Can I just say these two are just a little WEIRD!!!Two sweetest girls ever.Pikes place market! We didn't have any time for a BBQ but I would have loved some fresh fish... but not this one! The water wall
Sam is in Washington 2 days and he is already going GREEN!Jessica giving Jacob a dance lessonEric's new favorite niece! (Don't know why these are so small)
Our green friend. We had a chance to go and clean off David's headstone at the little cemetery in North Bend. This is OUR mountain, this is what I looked at every day out my kitchen window.
